A synthetic lake pigment from the Madder plant, Alizarin Crimson was the first natural dye to be synthesised in 1868. It is a deep transparent red with a blueish undertone.
Our Artists’ Oil Colour is the best in traditional oil colour, with a wide spectrum of colours.

We use only the purest pigments with the most suitable drying oils. Each colour is individually formulated to optimise and enhance the pigments’ natural characteristics to provide covering power, tinting strength and stability.
