The Rolfes Series 579CS is a flat white hog bristle brush with a short, stubby natural wooden nursery school handle designed to sit comfortably in smaller hands. The compact handle allows children to work close to the painting surface and provides an easy, secure grip for greater control while painting.
Its firm flat bristles are ideal for applying colour, making broad strokes, filling areas and exploring different brush marks and textures, making the Series 579CS particularly well suited to nursery schools, preschools, classrooms and children’s creative activities.
Available in Sizes 8, 12 and 18.
The Rolfes Series 579CS White Bristle Brush is designed specifically with younger artists in mind. It combines firm natural white hog bristles with a flat brush head and a short, stubby natural wooden nursery school handle that is comfortable and easy for small hands to hold.
The compact handle allows children to grip the brush closer to the bristles and painting surface, helping provide better control than a conventional longer-handled brush. Its simple, sturdy format makes it particularly practical for nursery schools, preschools, primary classrooms, art activities and general children’s craft work.
The flat hog-bristle head is versatile and robust. Its broad face can carry and spread paint efficiently for bold strokes, filling larger areas and blocking in colour, while the edge can produce narrower marks and more defined shapes. The natural firmness and spring of hog bristle also make it useful for experimenting with brush marks, stippling, dry-brush effects and texture, encouraging children to explore different ways of applying paint.
The Series 579CS can be used with common school and art media including tempera, poster paint, acrylic and craft paints. The hog bristles can also accommodate heavier-bodied paint effectively.
Each brush is individually specified by its hair width and hair length (out) so that the actual working dimensions of the brush can be compared easily.
After painting, clean the brush promptly using the method appropriate to the medium used. Reshape the bristles and allow the brush to dry thoroughly before storage.
