This sturdy all-wood board has a lovely smooth surface on both sides. Constructed with a sturdy wooden frame and reinforced wood edge, the board maintains rigidity, while the hollow core keeps it surprisingly lightweight. The smooth surface is ideal for drawing with graphite, coloured pencils, charcoal, pastel, ink, and other dry media.
The board can also be prepared as a rigid painting surface. When sealed and primed with acrylic gesso, it becomes suitable for acrylic, oil, and mixed media painting, providing a firm alternative to stretched canvas.
