The Rolfes Series GR700 Golden Synthetic Round Brushes are made with fine golden synthetic fibres formed into a traditional tapered round brush head. Designed to provide a combination of flexibility, spring, control and reliable shape retention, the GR700 is a versatile range suitable for artists, students and a wide variety of painting techniques.

The responsive synthetic fibres return readily to shape after each stroke, while the tapered tip provides the control required for fine lines, detail, outlining and precise mark-making. The fuller body of the brush carries colour for longer, flowing strokes and broader applications.

One of the strengths of the round brush shape is its ability to produce a wide variety of marks. Used lightly on the tip, the GR700 can create fine lines and delicate details. Increasing the pressure allows the fibres to spread into progressively broader strokes, making the same brush useful for curves, washes, blending, glazing, filling smaller areas and expressive brushwork.

The GR700 is suitable for both water-based and oil-based painting media. With watercolour, gouache and ink, the round shape provides good colour carrying and controlled release for washes, lines and flowing marks. With acrylics, the resilient synthetic fibres provide the spring and durability required for repeated brushwork and controlled colour application.
