The Rolfes Traditional Sealing Wax with Wick – Post Office Red is a classic long-format sealing wax designed for creating traditional wax impressions on correspondence, certificates, invitations and presentation documents. Each 200 mm sealing wax stick contains an integrated wick, allowing the wax to be lit and melted directly without requiring a glue gun or separate melting vessel.

The distinctive Post Office Red colour provides the classic appearance traditionally associated with sealed correspondence and official-style documents. The Rolfes Traditional Sealing Wax with Wick – Post Office Red combines the classic appearance and application method of traditional sealing wax with a generous 200 mm long stick format.

Each sealing wax stick contains an integrated wick. The wick is lit to heat and melt the surrounding wax, allowing molten wax to be applied directly where the seal is required.

Once sufficient wax has been deposited, the flame is extinguished and a sealing stamp is pressed into the warm wax to create the characteristic raised impression of a traditional wax seal.

This direct-melting method requires no glue gun or separate wax-melting spoon, making the wicked stick a convenient way to produce authentic traditional-style seals.
At approximately 200 mm in length, these sticks provide considerably more wax per stick than the smaller Rolfes traditional sealing-wax formats. The 10-piece box therefore provides a substantial supply for repeated sealing and is particularly useful where numerous impressions need to be produced.

The rich Post Office Red colour is the quintessential traditional sealing-wax colour, making it particularly appropriate for letters, envelopes, certificates, formal correspondence, invitations, announcements and presentation documents. For use, light the exposed wick and hold the stick at an angle over the area to be sealed. Allow sufficient wax to melt and collect on the surface, then carefully extinguish the flame. While the wax remains warm, press the chosen sealing stamp firmly into it. Allow the wax to set before gently lifting away the stamp.

Always take appropriate care when using an open flame and handling molten wax. Work on a stable, suitable surface away from flammable materials, and never leave a burning sealing-wax stick unattended.
