The Rolfes Traditional Sealing Wax 4 Piece Hang-Up Pack provides a convenient selection of traditional sealing wax for creating distinctive wax seals on correspondence, stationery and creative projects.

Unlike glue-gun sealing wax, these traditional sealing wax sticks contain an integrated wick running through the wax. The wick can be lit so that the wax melts directly from the stick, allowing the required amount of molten wax to be applied to the surface. A sealing stamp or seal is then pressed into the warm wax to create the characteristic raised impression associated with traditional wax sealing.

The wicked-stick format makes it possible to create seals without a glue gun or separate wax-melting appliance, making it particularly convenient for individual seals, occasional use and traditional sealing techniques.

Rolfes Traditional Sealing Wax can be used to add a distinctive finishing touch to letters, envelopes, invitations, certificates, announcements, wedding and special-occasion stationery. Beyond correspondence, wax seals can also be incorporated into card making, journaling, scrapbooking, gift wrapping, tags, presentation packaging and decorative paper crafts.

To use, light the wick and allow the wax near the flame to begin melting. Hold the stick at an angle and allow sufficient melted wax to collect where the seal is required. Extinguish the flame carefully, then press the sealing stamp firmly into the warm wax. Allow the wax to set before gently lifting the stamp away.

As the wax is applied using a naked flame, it should always be used on a suitable heat-resistant working surface, away from flammable materials, and never left burning unattended.
